The Miami Dolphins need to fix their offensive line at left guard and right tackle but Chris Grier seems content to let this play out from last year.

Grier believes that Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg can hold down their respective positions at right tackle and left guard. Miami fans didn’t see the same promising future. It seems as though Grier will stay out of the big name chase in free agency and stick to adding depth along the line as needed.

The Dolphins will need another center. Michael Dieter is a free agent and was hardly part of the plan last year so it would be very surprisng to see him come back. Brandon Shell is a name that Miami fans should watch for. He played well last season and was versatile enough to fill in at both guard and tackle.

If Grier waits it out and sees an opportunity, there are players that could upgrade the line, if Miami truly wants to go all in. I would expect Grier to wait out the market and see what shakes off the free agency tree for cheap.

22 players have already been signed to free agent contracts and the prices for many were eye brow raising. Another reason why Miami might sit this early phase out.

Orlando Brown, Jr.

It’s unclear where Brown may end up but Miami isn’t likely a spot unless he is willing to switch to the right side and play a lot less than he is used to. Still, as long as he is available, his name is going to be mentioned. At 26, Brown has a lot of football left.

Taylor Lewan

Injury history aside, Lewan can be an incredible addition but at the age of 31, he isn’t likely going to be around longer than a couple of years and that could be fine for Miami.

Matt Feiler

The Chargers guard could be the competition that Miami needs for Eichenberg or a player that could play right guard and allow Robert Hunt to move to right tackle.
