The Miami Dolphins need better running backs at least they need a better runner in short-yardage situations and two could help the Dolphins immediately, like Kareem Hunt.

Leonard Fournette was released by the Buccaneers last week. He is nowhere near the runner he used to be and you could argue that he never lived up to expectations but he is still a bruising back that can contribute in short-yardage situations. Is he ideal? No, but he is an option that could give Miami a runner who can fight in the trenches for inches and yards.

Fournette may not be a perfect choice and Miami could try and trade for Derrick Henry, something we talked about earlier, here.

Another option could be Kareem Hunt. Another able body runner who can hit the holes and create his own. Hunt is 27 but has less wear and tear on his body than others like Fournette or Ezekiel Elliot.

Hunt may be a perfect fit with the Dolphins. He took a backseat to Nick Chubb in Cleveland so isn’t going to demand that his new team uses him as a featured back. In Miami, Hunt would be situational but would also provide the depth they need given the injury history of Mostert and Wilson.
