2. Miami plays too many cold-weather games

Dolphins fans watched the NFL adjust the Dolphins schedule in 2023 to accommodate the intense heat in September. The Dolphins only played the Broncos at 1 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium early last year. They could repeat this again in 2024.

While Miami may not get the heat as their 12th player, it can get hot at any time of the year in South Florida. The bigger question is, can the Dolphins win in cold weather? The Dolphins will face the Browns, Bills, Jets, Patriots, and Packers on the road.

The Dolphins have to expect at least one or two games late in the season away from Hard Rock Stadium, and it would be a nightmare scenario to put the Dolphins on the road against the Bills, Browns, or Packers in late December. It would be worse if the Dolphins had to play back-to-back winter weather games. The Browns, Bills, and Packers are all expected to push for the playoffs and division titles, making these games more important than other road games, given the teams' levels of play.
