Blowing Chunks

facebooktwitterreddit

Instead of “bits and pieces” of news regarding the Miami Dolphins, with the record being what it is (if you don’t know climb back under your rock and be happy), I figured it is more appropriate to call it what it is…”Blowing Chunks!”

Jason Taylor:  Injured his ankle early in the 3rd, was unable to return to the game sans a few plays in the 4th.  He will have an MRI today to see what the problem is.  According to Taylor, he fears the worst.  “Anybody who knows me or has been around me knows I will keep going no matter what it is. I just couldn’t do it today.”  Taylor said to reporters after the game.  My guess is that if this is a significant injury, one that requires surgery, then I hope you Tivo’d the game, it could be his last in a Phins uniform.  I will keep you updated.

Zach Thomas:  Made it home safely

Jesse Chatman:  Speaking of blowing chunks, Chatman saw his pre-game meal early in the first quarter again.  In fact, anyone around the 20 yard line saw it as well.  Ever wonder if someone goes out and cleans it up or pours water over it?  Me too.  Imagine hitting that end of the field later, warm sun beating down.  O.k. I’m done now.

Matt Roth:  Left the game as well after injuring his groin.  Updates when they occur.  No word yet on how long he will miss, if he will miss anything.

Vonnie Holliday:  Holliday returned to the field after breaking his ankle in week 4 and looked good.  Solid run defense and push up the field.  The defense played much better with him in it.  Of course, having Joey Porter being used as more than a warm body helped as well.

Ted Ginn:  Yet another return for a touchdown, his second this season, called back for a penalty.

Marty Booker:  If this guy is not in the last season of his career with Miami there is a problem.  Booker needs to go.

Cleo Lemon:  Started off strong, but obviously can’t take the pressure.  At least he didn’t over throw the ball (he threw it into the ground instead).  What was he thinking double pumping the ball in the end-zone anyways?  Could he not see the giant defensive lineman standing in front of him?  Field of vision my ass, that guy was standing in front of him.  Nice safety.

John Beck:  Took 2 quarters for the fans to start chanting “We Want Beck!”.  It made no difference to Cameron.  No word on whether or not any of the Dolphins were on the benches leading the chant.
