Miami Dolphins At 50: Best Draft Picks
By Brian Miller
Number 2
Mark Clayton & Mark Duper
The dynamic duo of Clayton and Duper were as much a part of Dan Marino’s career as any other single player in history, let alone two. Clayton was drafted in the 8th round in 1983 and Duper a year earlier in 1982.
Combined, Duper and Clayton became to two most prolific receiver in Dolphins history led by the arm of Dan Marino. Duper would play ten seasons and notch 59 touchdowns on 511 catches while Clayton would spend ten seasons in Miami catching 550 balls and 81 touchdowns. Mark Duper would later catch the final pass thrown by Dan Marino at Marino’s Hall of Fame Induction. “Go Deep Dupe!”
