10 days left until Miami Dolphins Training Camp
By Brian Miller
Today is July 20th which means that in 10 days the Miami Dolphins will report to training camp. They will actually report on the 29th but first practice is scheduled for the 30th. The Dolphins have high expectations this year with a slew of new additions and the feeling that they can get to the next level.

OTA’s and mini-camps were met generally with positive results and one connection, Ryan Tannehill and new tight-end Jordan Cameron already looking to be a very good one. OTA’s and camps are important for the players to get off-season work in and to start building the rapport between units but training camp is when it starts to come together. That will be no different this year as the Dolphins need to hit on all cylinders at season start.

The Dolphins will start their pre-season, season on August 13th agains the Chicago Bears.
August 13 – 8pm ET – @ Chicago Bears
August 22 – 7pm ET – @ Carolina Panthers
August 29 – 7pm ET – vs. Atlanta Falcons
September 3 – 7pm ET – vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dolphins fans will get their first looks at Ndamukong Suh, Kenny Stills, Greg Jennings, but will not see DeVante Parker who will sit out most of camp if not all of it recovering from foot surgery earlier in the season. Parker’s agent James Gould said “everything is perfect” with the recovery. The Dolphins are hoping to have the receiver available week one against the Washington Redskins.
Miami will start the season on the road visiting Washington and then Jacksonville before coming home for their first divisional game against Buffalo. Despite the label of a home game they will play the New York Jets in London. Their 2nd consecutive trip to the U.K. in as many years. Last year they handily beat the Oakland Raiders. Four of the Dolphins first six games will be played outside of Miami. Following their home game against the Texans, the Dolphins will travel for three consecutive weeks against very tough opponents.
The Dolphins schedule is not too difficult at the top but following the Texans game it gets much more difficult. The Dolphins however will play five of their last seven games at home as they hopefully will be making a playoff run. It won’t be an easy task but expectations this year are higher than they have been since 2009 when the Dolphins came off an 11-5 season and division title.
It all starts in 10 days.
