Miami Dolphins Tailgating Guidelines: Home opener

facebooktwitterreddit

This week, the Miami Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills. This is a big week; it’s Miami’s home opener—the 50th home opener in this franchise’s history. With that, what better way to open up Sun Life Stadium for the first time this year (for the Dolphins) than the ultimate homecoming gift: a win against a hated rival, the Buffalo Bills.

With a kickoff time set for 4:25, that means tailgating will take place at the hottest time of the day: between 1-3 pm. So, let’s cool off a bit. The normalcy of a typical tailgating experience is chugging cheap beer that leaves a nasty taste in your mouth, and even more unpleasant hangover the next morning. The beer being passed around at these events has as much flavor as raw tofu. We’re here to have a good time, not get sloshed. Let’s be a little sophisticated this evening, shall we. After all, this isn’t a college dorm party.

Considering that you’re a responsible adult, sangria is a great way to get a little loose, and is a great alternative to beer. Unlike beer or liquor, sangria is refreshing and dances of your taste buds real nice.
