The Miami Dolphins came into today wondering if all the Dan Campbell hype would pay off. It did as Dan Campbell got his first win as a head coach and the Dolphins improved to 2-3 on the season. The Dolphins coach wanted a physical team, an aggressive team, they got it on both sides of the ball.

More from Dolphins News

The Dolphins allowed only one touchdown to the Titans and sacked quarterback Marcus Mariota five times and added a final sack to end the game. Four sacks came from Cameron Wake. The Dolphins battered the quarterback all day and when he wasn’t getting sacked he was getting knocked down. Sacks however were not the only defensive plays of the day. The Dolphins forced five turnovers on their way to a huge and much needed victory.

The win was without question a team victory. Lamar Miller rushed the ball 19 times, his most of the season, for 113 yards and a touchdown. The Dolphins first rushing touchdown of the season. Rishard Mattews caught six passes for 85 yards and Dion Sims back from his concussion added four catches for a 33 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Cameron added 13 yard touchdown late.

On the day, Tannehill was 22 of 29 for 266 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Both interceptions were thrown to Jordan Cameron and on both plays the two looked as though they were on different books let alone pages.

Overall the team looked PREPARED. The Dolphins scored a touchdown on their opening possesssion and didn’t look back. The Dolphins scored 38 points on the day and the defense kept the Titans to 10.

Miami played physical football and there was a huge difference in the demeanor of the team and by the head coach who was animated and enthusiastic on the sideline. It was a team that Miami hadn’t fielded in a very very long time. Definitely not in the Joe Philbin era.

The Dolphins will now be tasked with keeping up the expectations as they head home to face the Houston Texans a week from today.
