Top remaining NFL free agents at Dolphins needs
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins let a few free agents go to other teams that would have filled positions of needs on their team. Day two is starting just as quiet for Miami but there are plenty of players Miami could target to build their roster.

With the Dolphins needing players at linebacker, corner, defensive end, running back, and of course offensive guard, there is a lot of work to do to get the roster better suited for the draft next month. For the Dolphins, having fewer holes by the day of the draft will allow the team to draft early positions based on best available talent rather than best available need.
The question is who is left? During the opening hours of free agency Miami allowed players like guard Alex Boone sign with another team. Miami appears to have gone into free agency far more aware that spending freely doesn’t equate to winning. The Dolphins stayed within their numbers and didn’t budge.
Here is a look at the top players still available at the positions Miami needs most.
GUARD
Jhari Evans
Evans is coming off a decent season but he is over 30 and his play is starting to decline. Add injury history to his resume and you realize that Evans is a bridge guard that would hold down the line until Miami could develop a younger player. The problem is Miami has yet to develop an offensive lineman in years.
Louis Vasquez
Coming off a Super Bowl championship, Vasquez has played in a strong offensive system and at 28 years old still has life left in his career. Vasquez could be a very good starter for the Dolphins and is someone they should target to fix their line.
Zane Beadles
Beadles signed a free agent contract with the Jaguars two seasons ago as a top offensive line free agent. He didn’t work out in Jacksonville but that doesn’t mean he can’t turn it around and he would still be better than anyone Miami currently has at the position.
Geoff Schwartz
The former NY Giant offensive lineman is very good when he can stay healthy but over the past two years that has been a problem.
