It goes to show you that as soon as you write about Dion Jordan’s suspension, the NFL decides to reinstate him. Sort of.

UPDATE: Jordan can now join camp. The conditions of his reinstatement say that he must attend counseling and be reevaluated prior to the start of the season. Jordan has two years left on his contract due to the year long suspension.
While nothing is official yet, many in the local media are saying that their sources within the NFL and with the team have told them Jordan will be reinstated by the NFL. The question is when and what restrictions have been placed on him?
The bigger question is what will the date of his reinstatement be? By the start of the season is awfullly vague and leaves a lot of room open to interpretation. It also doesn’t do any service to Jordan himself unless that reinstatement comes sooner rather than later.
Already behind his teammates, Jordan needs to get on the field soon if he hopes to make the teams roster. A sticking point is the $1.7 million he is due as a roster bonus on the 5th day of camp, Tuesday.
While it’s new news on Jordan’s future, his immediate future is still a question but one that needs answered very quickly for all parties involved.
