Team Excited for the Potential of Arian Foster, Dion Jordan
By Steve Boland
The first few days of camp have been filled with questions surrounding health, and speculation for when some of the team’s core pieces will be back on the field.
The biggest news going into training camp was the reinstatement of Dion Jordan, whom the team had not decided what to do with. Today, they announced that he will be placed on the Non-Football injury (NFI) list, as he had a knee procedure that will keep him out 2-3 weeks.
When healthy, his conditional reinstatement will determine whether he can fully rejoin the Dolphins as he the NFL put requirements in place for him to engage with local clinical resources to aid his recovery. The league also mandated that Jordan must follow-up with them before the start of the season as the final determinate prior to his full reinstatement with the Dolphins.

The team has limited how much information they’re sharing regarding their plans for him, though the move indicates they want him on their team come September.
Arian Foster was activated off the PUP list today and the organization and fans alike cannot wait to see what he can do on the field. He now joins Cameron Wake as the other Dolphin recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, and the team has noted both will be under watch to avoid them being rushed too quickly back on the field.
“To have that veteran presence in our backfield is huge. He’s great running the zone-read game, which we run here. As a receiver out of the backfield or split out wide, he has a great knack for getting open and having great hands on the outside.” -Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill is one of the players most excited for the new acquisition for the veteran presence and versatility he brings in the backfield.
The rest of his teammates have expressed the same excitement for Dion Jordan to return on the field with them. Koa Misi expressed some of the highest praise saying, ““He’s always been a monster…He’s an athlete no matter what. He’ll definitely be a good addition to this team, and I’m happy to have him back.” They know what he has been able to do on the field and are looking forward to having his skill set again.
It will be interesting to see how Jordan and Foster mesh with their new teammates in the coming weeks.
