Each week the Phinphanatic staff will bring you their prediction for the upcoming game.  This week has the Miami Dolphins hosting the Buffalo Bills in a key week 7 matchup.

James Anderson

As the offensive front five go so go the Dolphins as long as they are healthy and playing. LeSean McCoy may not play as there is risk to more injury so we may see former Dolphins’ Mike Gillislee and Reggie Bush along with Charles Clay. Mario Williams may step it up and be the third prong with Wake and Branch to pressure Tyrod Taylor. The Bills have eleven players on IR and have suffered with injuries all season so what they have done is impressive (4-2) they have a strong defense and can score thirty points.  Prediction Dolphins 33 Bills 31

Miami surprised everyone in last week’s impressive upset victory over the Steelers. The Dolphins leaned on the back of Jay Ajayi’s career day. They still have a lot to improve on if they want to be considered playoff contenders. Buffalo comes in as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, and have dominated the series in recent meetings. The Dolphins may be able to keep it close, but this is not a favorable matchup.  Prediction Bills 24 Dolphins 17

While the win against Pittsburgh served as a distraction from the play from rest of this season, the game against Buffalo will bring the team back to reality.  The Ryan brothers will continue to do their best to get enough of out Buffalo’s players to secure a victory against the Dolphins.  Although Miami might keep it close, Buffalo’s running game and defensive lines provide the difference in this one.  Prediction Buffalo 24 Miami 16

Even without RB LaSean McCoy, Buffalo brings a bruising offensive line and a mobile QB into Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.  Miami’s defense stepped up last week vs Pittsburgh but Miami’s defense has had trouble putting two good halves together; never mind two good games.  On offense, the Dolphins will once again put their starting five offensive line on the field.  When that happens, Tannehill is usually well protected and Miami runs the ball for over 140 yards/game.  In the end, Buffalo will wear down Miami’s defense and the offense will continue to settle for too many field goals.  Prediction:  Buffalo 24 Dolphins 16
