Like a scene right out of Friday Night Lights, Foster was said to have gotten in an argument with a student hospital worker.  The argument forced the NFL’s hand to send him home.

Adam Schefter reported the news yesterday about the former Crimson Tide linebacker.

As Schefter stated, Foster is a potential top-10 pick after a great career at Alabama.  In three years he played in 39 games finishing with 211 tackles including seven sacks.  In 2016 he received the Dick Butkus Award which is rewarded to the best linebacker in the country all while helping lead another great ‘Bama defense.

As we know the Miami Dolphins were “lucky” to have Laremy Tunsil fall to them last year after the leaked video of him smoking dropped minutes before the start of the 2016 NFL Draft.  It turned out to be a gift after Tunsil turned in a solid rookie season.

Head coach Adam Gase could see that same fortune come his way this April.  Character concerns have been a main reason for many players’ draft stocks to drop as of late and it could be the case here with Foster.

I’m a huge fan of Foster’s play on the field.  With Miami needing a linebacker I wouldn’t be mad to see Miami even trade up for his services.

To me the case of Foster getting sent home isn’t that big of a red flag.  The argument with the student hospital worker is said to be over a disagreement during his medical examination but it was also reported by ESPN that there was a miscommunication as Foster was waiting for his examination.

Foster wasn’t going to workout at the combine after rotator cuff surgery this offseason.  He was, however, planning on conducting interviews with NFL teams today.

Alabama will be hosting their pro day this upcoming Wednesday.  Again, Foster won’t be eligible to compete in drills but he’ll have a chance to explain his side of this story to NFL teams then.  His fall would have to be drastic but as we saw with Tunsil last year, it’s possible.
