When you think of Miami Dolphins receiving records it is easy to get caught up in the Jarvis Landry years when he set both team and league records.

Looking back through our handy history chart Landry immediately came to mind when the research on who was the last Miami Dolphins player to catch 15 passes in one game. Naturally it had to be Landry. Afterall he set consecutive team receiving records in his last two years.

Yes the 112 receptions last year eclipsed his mark the year before but there is one stat he won’t match now that he is in Cleveland. See the last time a receiver caught 15 passes in one game was way back in December of 2005.

On that 4th day of the month in sunny Miami against the Buffalo Bills, Chris Chambers caught 15 passes in the game. He was targeted 26 times and posted 238 yards receiving and one touchdown. The Dolphins would win by one point 24-23 and Chambers would attend his only professional Pro-Bowl.

Chambers would finish his Dolphins career midway through the 2007 season when he was traded to the San Diego Chargers. He would finish with 405 receptions and 5,688 yards.

The Miami Dolphins traded Jarvis Landry this off-season and added Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson to replace him. Will the Dolphins have another receiver in the near future catch 15 balls in one game? It’s not likely under Adam Gase’s offense that spreads the ball around.
