The Miami Dolphins have added another quarterback to their roster. Miami has claimed Luke Falk off waivers from the Titans.

Is this a Bill Belichick kind of move for Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase? Taking Luke Falk who has spent the entire off-season with the team Miami faces on opening day? Sounds like a Belichick move.

Falk was actually a player that Miami was linked to having interest in leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft. Miami opted to not draft any quarterbacks during this past April’s draft. Falk however was taken by the Titans in round six.

The rookie played the entire final game for the Titans but in the end he couldn’t beat out Blaine Gabbert who is backing starter Marcus Mariota. Falk, a product of Washington State passed for over 14,000 yards in college with 119 touchdowns.

It’s unclear who the Dolphins will fit him into the roster. They need to keep him on the 53 but will they really carry four QB’s into week one? Brock Osweiler and David Fales both made the roster on Saturday. Of course that could change.

The Dolphins did have one spot open on their roster because linebacker Mike Hull will be placed on short-term IR. The Dolphins however still need to make a roster move as they claimed wide-receiver Tanner McEvoy formerly of the Seahawks and Saints. He has two career touchdowns in the NFL.

The Dolphins have not made the announcements official but several members of the mainstream media are reporting the claims on social media. The Dolphins will face the Titans on Sunday so it will be interesting to see if Falk is a one week addition or a long term prospect they hope to build.
