The Miami Dolphins have released their mid-week injury report ahead of their week three game against the visiting Raiders.

This week’s first Miami Dolphins injury report for Sunday’s game in Miami against the Oakland Raiders has some new names and a few repeat players from last week’s report. The Dolphins had eight players on the list while the Raiders had seven.

The new faces that showed up on the list were QB Ryan Tannehill (knee/ankle), RB Kenyan Drake (abdomen), FS Reshad Jones (shoulder) and DT Jordan Phillips (knee). Tannehill and Drake were full participants in practice and are expected to be on the field Sunday.  Tannehill’s knee hit the turf on one of the sacks in last week’s game, but Adam Gase says he thinks Ryan is fine.

(On if he held his breath at all when Tannehill went down a bit awkwardly and limped) – “Yeah, that was weird. I think it was on one of the sacks where his knee kind of hit the turf. I’ve seen that go the other way a couple of times where it’s not good, and I was just trying to figure out what was going on, but he was alright.” Adam Gase via Miamidolphins.com.

The two players who didn’t practice today were Reshad Jones and WR Danny Amendola (not injury related).  Amendola is taking his usual Wednesday off, Gase stated last week that this will be a weekly day of rest.  Reshad Jones injured his shoulder in the game against the Jets.  Fortunately it’s not the shoulder that he had surgery on.  They’re evaluating him and taking it day-to-day and hope he’ll be ready. The Dolphins did promote S Maurice Smith from the practice squad, bringing the total number of defensive backs to ten, possibly as insurance.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and LS John Denny (shoulder) were limited in practice. DeVante Parker (finger) and William Hayes (finger) were listed as full participants in practice. I fully expect Parker to be playing this week. Adam Gase said he could have played last week but wanted to be sure he was 100% healed and can take the contact.

Two of the Raiders players didn’t participate in practice, T Brandon Parker and DT P.J. Hall both with ankle injuries.   Coach Jon Gruden didn’t seem to think Hall will be available to play Sunday, missing his second game in a row.

The players that were limited in practice were CB Leon Hall (illness), C Rodney Hudson (ankle), G Gabe Jackson (pectoral) and RB Marshawn Lynch (shoulder). The lone player on the report that was a full participant was WR\RS Dwayne Harris (foot).

This will be updated after Friday’s final injury reports are released.
