The Miami Dolphins are 3-1 and atop the AFC East and will finish week five at worst tied for the lead in the division. Adam Gase is on the hot-seat.

When the Miami Dolphins wrap their game on Sunday in Cincinnati they will be tied for the AFC East lead but in reality could be 1/2 game behind the Patriots should New England win Thursday night. But that will not stop fans and some in the media calling for the head of Adam Gase.

Here is what we know so far about this season if you are to believe the outraged fans on social media after the teams first loss of the season.

Adam Gase: Gase can not coach at the NFL level. Dolphins fans have a plethora of stats to show that in all of Gase’s 37 games he has only been winning at half-time seven of those. They are also quick to point out that his first quarter scoring over his tenure is atrocious. It is, but they will also make sure you know that Gase is the biggest problem on this team. Hence, Gase is on the hot-seat.

Ryan Tannehill: Through the first three weeks of the season Tannehill was actually getting national media attention as a potential pro-bowl quarterback. He was in the top five in several QB categories and had a stellar QB rating over 100. Now he sucks again and the Dolphins are now looking at the draft but they have four quarterbacks on the roster so drafting one, because Adam Gase sucks, won’t happen because he has Brock Osweiler, David Fales, and Luke Falk. Regardless, Tannehill sucks so we should just go with one of them.

More from Dolphins News

Mike Gesicki: Gesicki has not caught his first touchdown of his career yet. At one of the hardest positions in the NFL to learn, Gesicki is a wasted pick and another 2nd round bust in Dolphins history. Miami could have drafted Dallas Goedert or Mark Andrews. Both have caught a touchdown pass. Miami needs to stop drafting bums.

DeVante Parker: Parker is absolutely worthless. His route running isn’t very good and he can’t stay healthy enough to actually play games. Oh wait, that’s actually true.

Raekwon McMillan: Another 2nd round bust that can’t tackle and is out of position almost every play. Many will point out the second year player should be making big strides in his second NFL season. Oh wait, he missed his entire 2017 rookie season with a knee injury.

Offensive line: The Dolphins once again made horrible moves to shore up the offensive line and because of it Gase, Mike Tannenbaum, and Chris Grier should all be fired. Daniel Kilgore was an injury waiting to happen and Josh Sitton as good as he has been in his career is too injury prone. He has missed games the last two seasons with the Bears but has never torn his rotator cuff until now. Miami should have kept Mike Pouncey who is playing with the 2-2 Chargers.

To some of you everything above will be taken tongue in cheek. It’s meant to be a “oh my lord the sky is falling, the Dolphins suck, and we should just quit the season now” type of article. Why? because the above is actually what is being discussed, talked about and in some cases actually trending about the Miami Dolphins on social media so to the ones that don’t understand the gist of what this article was intended to be, it is SARCASM.

The lesson here is simple there is a long season ahead and despite an embarrassing loss we don’t need to be having a “turn around this season” type of conversation. Those same Patriots that everyone is raving about today, lost big to the Lions and Jaguars the previous two weeks. Bad games happen to good teams and even great teams.

Is there room for improvement? Absolutely. There are big hiccups in every aspect of the Dolphins game. Injuries are a big concern was well but the focus on the team is not one weekend, not one game, not 38 points. It’s on the Bengals this week and the Bears after that.

Will the Miami Dolphins make the post-season? The real question is why are we talking about it in week five? Unless of course you are one of those on social media who are saying all of those things above. It’s so much easier to sit back in week 17, point to the above and say “I told you so” than it is to just sit back and see how it unfolds.
