Miami Dolphins Brian Flores says trades are a daily discussion
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins have a week before they need to be at the NFL mandated 53 man roster and trade rumors continue to swirl. Brian Flores says it’s a daily conversation.
If you are wondering whether or not the Miami Dolphins are really active in trade talks, think about no more. They are. Daily. This according to head coach Brian Flores.
Flores was speaking with the media ahead of today’s practice and was asked a myriad of questions regarding his football team. When asked about the trade possibilities, he gave the above answer thus eliminating any speculation that the Dolphins are not actually shopping around for deals.
At the forefront of the Dolphins, trade rumors have been Kiko Alonso. Alonso is a seasoned veteran who has made impacts defensively for the Dolphins but Miami wants to get younger at the position and so far the linebacker unit has been a surprising positive in camp.
Late last week it was reported by Tony Pauline of the ProFootball Network that Laremy Tunsil has been floated but it appears that Tunsil’s name was more or less other teams calling to find out if he were available. The Dolphins have denied they are actively shopping him.

Reshad Jones was supposed to be on the block as well but the Dolphins assured him he will not be traded this year. This according to Jones. Miami has a lot of money tied into Jones and his contract is almost non-tradeable.
There has also been a lot of speculation that the Dolphins are making a run at Texan’s defensive end, Jadeveon Clowney. On Twitter Sunday, someone posted a blurb that Clowney had said no to a possible trade to Miami but that was not able to be confirmed.
The fact that Miami is having conversations about trades should come as no surprise. The Dolphins covet 2020 draft picks and have players that may be released next Saturday if not sooner given the youth movement of the franchise and depth at certain positions. In other words, stay tuned!
