Miami Dolphins offensive line does its job in loss to Bills
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins faced a tough Buffalo Bills defense on Sunday and they did so with a makeshift offensive line who did their job.
When the Miami Dolphins took the field on Sunday they did so with Daniel Kilgore out and Evan Boehm taking over at center. Shaq Calhoun started at guard and the offensive line looked better than it had all year.
The Dolphins offensive line surrendered one sack on the day and that sack was actually on a blown wide-receiver pass and not on the quarterback. As a team, the Dolphins rushed for over 100 yards with Mark Walton rushing 14 times for 66 yards. This against, again, a tough defensive front.
Perhaps the Bills were downplaying the Dolphins but honestly, that is not likely. The rivalry between the two clubs is deep and neither team takes the other as a doormat and beating up the other team is seasonal pride.

Next week the Dolphins play Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the coaching staff should keep this unit of offensive lineman together for another game to see if they can improve or at the very least continue the performance from Sunday.
Miami’s offensive line has been a point of contention dating back to training camp when the team couldn’t seem to find the right pieces to put together. It is a foregone conclusion that next off-season will bring a lot of change to the unit where a new guard, right tackle, left tackle, and center could all be replaced.
For one game, however, the Dolphins showed up and played well and maybe that can continue in the weeks ahead. Now if Miami can just figure out the rest of the offense, we might get a win.
