Round 5 Pick 149 (overall) – Walker Little – OT, Stanford – Although listed as an offensive tackle, he projects better as a guard at the NFL. At 6’7” and 304 lbs., he displays a functional strength and athleticism not to mention a comfort zone of working in tight spaces. Almost seems like in addition to the physical traits of a guard he has a guard mentality as well. Worth taking at this stage in the draft as he has a great upside and value for the interior of the line.

Round 5 Pick 151 (overall) –Lamar Jackson, CB Nebraska – At 6’3” and 215lbs., he almost projects better as a safety than a corner. He has a nastiness and is not afraid to get in and make the tackle. He could use a bit of coaching to have his speed stay consistent as he seems to have slight slow down while transitioning through techniques and coverages.

Round 6 Pick 163 (overall) – Antoine Brooks Jr. – S, Maryland – At 5’11” and 215 lbs. Choosing him makes sense here as he possesses the tools to be a chess piece on the field for the Dolphins. He is physical gets in the box to cover and rush and is not afraid to mix it up and get after the ball. Has tallied 237 total tackles with 27.5 tackles for loss. Sometimes plays with heavier feet than he should but is coachable and worth taking at this stage in the draft if available.

Round 6 Pick 180 (overall) – Michael Onwenu – Interior Offensive Line, Michigan – At 6’3” 350 lbs. he shows a great deal of mobility getting to defenders as well as showing great flexibility for his size. He has a great motor and is a beast at either guard position. At this point in the draft he represents a solid value and meets a team need.

Round 7 Pick 191 (overall) – Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB LSU – At 5’9” and 212 lbs. the running back from LSU is a tough tackle with both power and agility he ranks among the leaders in broken tackles and missed tackles. He has already set career highs in rush yards (1233), touchdowns (17 total), and receiving yards (338). His added abilities as a receiver make him more of an asset to the team. He has handled the increased workload, 68 more touches this season as compared to last. He will be an asset to the Dolphins and tremendous value here in the draft.

Round 7 Pick 216 (overall) – Jason Strowbridge, Interior defensive lineman UNC – At 6’5” and 285 lbs., Strowbridge started as a 245 pound defensive end so he has shown the ability to not only transition to the inside, but to train properly to add the size needed and still keep some of the flexibility he had as a defensive end. The added bulk has helped his power while still being able to remain flexible enough to counter blockers from getting clean looks at him. Has managed to reach or near career highs in total tackles, tackles for loss, and fumble recoveries. Still seems a bit out of his comfort since moving inside, but at this stage he has a great deal of value and will help fill a need for the team.
