Number 4

Jamar Taylor, 2013 NFL Draft, Round 2, Pick 54. Career Stats: 82 TAK, 4 PD, 1 FR

Taylor was a second-round pick in the 2013 draft and was expected to not only compete for a starting corner spot but to lock down that position for many seasons to come. As is the case for everyone on this list, Taylor’s career didn’t really develop in that way. In 33 games as a Dolphin over 3 years, Taylor tallied a whopping 82 tackles, 4 passes defended and an outstanding 0 interceptions. If he was a 7th round pick, those numbers would be acceptable but as a second-round guy, they aren’t.

Taylor seemed to never develop any sort of playmaking ability, as in his second year he wasn’t able to beat out Cortland Finnegan (remember that guy?) for a starting spot alongside Brent Grimes. He then continued to fall out down the depth chart until he eventually was traded in 2016 to the Browns for a 7th round pick.
