2018 – Ryan Tannehill returned for the 2018 season, but it would be his last in Miami.  Tannehill finished the season with a 5 and 6 record while Brock Osweiler contributed 2 wins and 3 losses.  The 7 and 9 records also sealed Adam Gase’s fate as he was fired and the Dolphins were once again looking for a new head coach.  The Dolphins once again struggled on both sides of the ball, once again finishing near the bottom of the league. The offense was 26th overall in points scored while the defense was 27th in points against.  Xavien Howard was the lone Miami representative at the pro bowl.

2019 – Brian Flores was announced as the newest head coach of the Miami Dolphins.  He was quickly given a team of young and unproven players as the team traded away several assets that would bring back 3 additional first-round picks that should get the next decade off to a good start.  The Dolphins are once again guaranteed a losing record as they currently sit at 3 and 11 at the time of this article. Many fans feel the Dolphins have found their coach of the future in Flores. The leadership he’s brought to the organization is undeniable.  While the season has not been a success on the field, the excitement around the future of this team has been great among fans.

So as this decade comes to a close, Miami fans are hoping that the 2020s will be different than the previous ten years.  While there are no guarantees the future certainly looks brighter.
