Dream Trade Idea: Miami trades Pick 3 to the Denver Broncos for Pick 9 and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

This trade idea has become popular on Dolphins’ Twitter, and at first, I laughed at the thought. Why would the Denver Broncos do this deal and give up on the 2020 first-round pick? But then I started to think about it, and honestly, if Denver wants to move up to No. 3, Miami would be smart to ask for this same deal. I think Denver would consider it and ultimately probably take the trade.

Their new general manager did not draft Jeudy. John Elway did. Say what you want about Drew Lock, but I think we can all agree he isn’t an elite quarterback and hasn’t shown any signs of ever being an elite quarterback. It’s been rumored that the Broncos have been trying to acquire a quarterback, so maybe they decide to trade up and get one instead.

Giving up Jeudy would sting a little, but technically they would only be giving up two 1st round picks for pick No. 3 here. Miami could ask for more, but I think I could sleep well at night with this compensation for the pick.

You would get Tagovailoa a young weapon to grow with and still have a top 10 pick. I think trading back and adding future picks is a good idea, but adding players instead makes even more sense in my eyes, especially players like Jeudy. He had his drop issues in 2020, but he would instantly become the Dolphins No. 1 receiver.
