Week 10: Thursday, Nov. 11th Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins

There is not one particular game that the Dolphins will be seeking revenge on the Ravens for. Rather, it will be an attempt at payback for the colossal butt-whoppings that have taken place at the hands of Baltimore.

Since Greg Camarillo’s overtime miracle touchdown against the Ravens in the infamous 1-15 season in 2007, Miami has dropped 8 of their last 9 meetings against Baltimore. They have been outscored 284 to 99 during the abysmal stretch, including an outrageous 137-16 margin over the last three contests.

It is not only the lopsided trouncings that the Dolphins seek revenge for, but the timing of them. The 2016 meeting came at a time when Miami had won six games in a row, and it would have been ten if not for the 38-6 reality check that the Ravens handed down. The 2017 contest was another let down for the Dolphins, as a 40-point shutout began a five game losing streak that eventually ended their season. And in Brian Flores’ first game as head coach in 2019, Baltimore welcomed him with a 56-10 demolition that began a debate about whether the Dolphins were the worst team to ever play in the NFL.

But the tides may be turning a bit, and it could be time for the Miami Dolphins to begin a run of dominance in this particular matchup. The game this season will be played on a Thursday night, meaning that both teams will be on a short week of preparation. But it will be played in South Florida, so a boost from the home crowd in a prime time contest could help push Miami to a much-needed victory.
