If offensive fireworks are your cup of tea, look no further than an Oklahoma Sooners game. Following the tradition of top-quarterback prospects to play for Lincoln Riley, Spencer Rattler might be the best of the bunch. When you consider who the last four quarterbacks to play for Riley, it would be absurd to imagine.
Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray were both Heisman Trophy winners and the first overall selection in their respective draft classes, while Jalen Hurts has earned the starting quarterback role for the Philadelphia Eagles after being a second-round pick. Rattler should be able to achieve the same feats as the quarterbacks of the past and when you watch him play it’s not a surprise.
Featuring a cast of elite 2023 wideout prospects, headlined by Marvin Mims, Rattler, and the Sooners should continue their high-scoring offense. The defense, on the other hand, pushes the offense to be high scoring with a set of errors that allows opponents to score the ball frequently.
For the Cornhuskers, we could be seeing the end of head coach Scott Frost’s tenure, as the team has seen a massive lack of success under the former UCF head coach.
This game should feature Rattler heavily, possibly only through the first half, but you’ll get a sneak peek of a soon-to-be NFL quarterback and playoff team that offers interesting NFL prospects across the board.
