Michigan State at #24 Miami (FL)

Where to watch: ABC 12:00 PM (ET)

Two teams that feel as though they’re heading in opposite directions are set to clash in Miami Gardens this weekend.

The Hurricanes, coming off a close win against Appalachian State, have seen its fair shares of ups and downs this season. It’s puzzling to think that a cat falling can garner more attention than the game being played on the field. This week’s matchup features a team that has something Miami is currently missing: identity.

After only winning 2-games in 2020, the Michigan State Spartans have matched their win total from a season ago and look as though they’ll more than double it in 2021. Led by star running back Kenneth Walker II, Michigan State plays hard-nosed football and has been up to the challenge in their first two games in 2021.

In a  game that many thought would likely go Miami’s way when it first popped up on the schedule, it should be a  slugfest. Miami will need to prove it belongs among the top-25, while Michigan State will aim to prove that its football program is back where it belongs.

Among some of the interesting prospects in this game are Michigan State’s Walker, safety Xavier Henderson, and wideout Jaylon Reed. Miami fans should keep a close eye on offensive tackle Zion Nelson, quarterback D’Eriq King, running back Cam Harris, and defensive tackle Nesta Silvera.
