6. Los Angeles Chargers

A game that will be overhyped before it happens and overanalyzed when it’s over. This will be the second career meeting between Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa, but the first since their rookie seasons, when we had yet to see them for whom they truly are. Tua is 1-0, and will have to remain undefeated against his draft mate if the Dolphins want a chance at the playoffs.

7. New England Patriots

The Patriots could be a wild card this coming season. They were somewhat of a surprise in 2021, but we all chuckled at ourselves for ever doubting a Bill Belichick-led team as they qualified for the playoffs. It wouldn’t surprise many to see New England as one of the AFC’s top teams next season,

8. Minnesota Vikings

Another possibly sneaky team for the 2022 season, the Vikings are stacked with weapons offensively. They missed the playoffs in 2021 due to their inability to win close games, but that shouldn’t make them any less of a threat going forward. The future of their quarterback position is in question, so Minnesota is subject to move up or down this list after free agency and the draft.

9. Cleveland Browns

The immediate future of the Browns is in limbo, but they will still put out a talented roster in 2022 no matter which direction they go this off season. Some of the marquee names that Cleveland fans have gotten used to over the past couple of years may be gone, but there is enough juice on the roster for the Browns to still be considered a legitimate threat.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers

Who will be playing quarterback for the Steelers? The Big Ben era is over, but a Mike Tomlin-led team should never be counted out. In his 13 years at the helm, Pittsburgh has never finished the season with a losing record. But there is a first time for everything, and they haven’t seen an off season with this much change in a very long time. Miami is 2-7 against the Steelers in 9 matchups since 2004.
