According to the officially launched web site, “The Magician” sat in a dark dingy hotel room in a rough part of Los Angeles. Crack pipe in hand. He lights another rock, inhales and his pain subsides. He flashes in and out, sees images of his former self. A life that held promise despite the color of his skin. He is “The Magician“.
He would become an All-Pro wide receiver. He would become a drug addict walking the thin line between life and death. Paying prices to names he didn’t know, people who didn’t care, while at the same time, unknowing at [...]

Who Is "The Magician"?
Phins Release 2
The Miami Dolphins played roster adjustment today terminating the contracts of Steve Fifita and QB Matt Baker. Neither were expected to make the roster this season.
Taylor Shows His Miami Colors
I find it funny that a time when the NFL is mired in Spygate tapes, drugs, assault and battery, and more black eyes than eye black, that the league has done very little to exploit the dancing of Jason Taylor. In fact, I don’t think it has done anything at all. Bringing the NFL into a crisp family element, Taylor is not only proving he can dance, but he is giving the NFL that high profile “good-guy” that the league sorely lacks. And still, they do and say nothing.
In Miami, the brewing fight between Parcells and Taylor continues to fester, but [...]

“Because you’re not just a Phan, you’re a Phinatic!”
The Miami Dolphins have to be shopping defensive end Jason Taylor to the Philadelphia Eagles for Lito Sheppard. As we discover how things are working these days, it only makes sense.
Proof of this sought after trade is easy to find if you know where to look. Look no further I95 North to the city of Jacksonville. While the Dolphins keep a silent approach to everything football, the Jaguars and their cronies have a spy in the Miami offices and know exactly what to do to get their guy.
Case in point. Rumor after rumor after rumor of the Jaguars and Dolphins [...]

April 28th – September 1st?
It seems that the Miami Dolphins may be moving the Oline around already. With Jake Long the new LT and Vernon Carey moving back to RT it was assumed that Shawn Murphy would play LG with Justin Smiley a RG, but Jeff Ireland said that Murphy will be penciled in at RG meaning that Smiley is likely to move to LG where he will be the veteran next to Jake Long.
The move makes sense if in fact it does play out this way having a veteran on both sides of the line and Samson Satele at the center position. Concern [...]
To make this easier as undrafted free agents will be an ongoing event, this is is the blog that will keep updating today. The first name on the list will be the most recent so check back and if that name has changed, the Miami Dolphins have added another one.
Matt Mulligan – TE – Maine, Daren Heerspink – OL – Portland, Kelly Poppinga – LB – BYU, Davone Bess – WR – Hawaii, Jayson Foster – QB – GA. Southern, Mike Byrne – OT – Delaware, Dan Gore – OT – Boise St., Dan Carpenter – K – Montana.
The Miami Dolphins have been a team without an identity for over 6 years. 7 years ago they made the playoffs, they had a slim identity then. In that time, we as fans have seen 5 head coaches and 5 general managers. The hiring of Bill Parcells has changed the image of this team. Although they have yet to set foot on a field, show one ounce of progression from the 1-15 club of last year, the shift in focus as witnessed by this past weekends draft is the beginning of a new attitude and new image. If this draft [...]
As the draft closed yesterday, the coverage networks focused on players who might get drafted and players that would not. While I contemplate my final grade and opinions on the first draft for Jeff Ireland and Bill Parcells, the duo have not finished shopping. With the draft over, it is time to move on to the undrafted signings.
The Miami Dolphins got off to a quick start, as did all teams, but just as quickly slowed down. This is the list so far:
Kelly Poppinga – LB – Brigham Young
Davone Bess – WR – Hawaii
Jayson Foster - QB – Georgia Southern
Mike Byrne – [...]
The Chat Room ended by mistake a tad too early, it was supposed to go until 1:15. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and participated or just read along. I will be using this feature for any reason I can find. Weekly chats, regular season game blogs and chats, etc… This was a great way to connect and it was a great success! Thanks again everyone!
Shawn Murphy – OG – Utah St.

Son of former Major League Baseball M.V.P. Dale Murphy…Went on an LDS Church Mission to Brazil from 2003-04….Spent one season at Dixie St. before transferring to the Aggies…Started out as a defensive end, played [...]
With so many players still on the board, falling from rounds 1 and rounds 2, the Miami Dolphins begin the day trading the first pick in round 3 to Detroit moving down 2 spots and gaining a 6th round pick. With that 3rd round pick, the Dolphins pulled a reach pick out of their pocket. Leaving many fans saying WTF?
With the pick the Dolphins drafted DE Kendall Langford from Hampton. Pushing 300 pounds, Langford is a big DE who will fit in the 34. He was projected by most as a 5th round pick. The Dolphins have drafted 2 DE’s [...]
