The Miami Dolphins are one of, if not the only team in the NFL that routinely pulls a surprise out of their hat. Let’s face it, NFL ball clubs like to talk the talk about how they go overboard for their fans, but Miami actually walks the walk as well. Besides inviting a hack like me to come down and participate in a weekend of events, the Dolphins are reaching out to the fans in ways you couldn’t imagine.
This Friday at 10:45 AM the Dolphins will host a video chat with none other than General Manager Jeff Ireland. While the [...]

During the regular season and most of training camp you will hear “On the Fin Side” every Tuesday night at www.Finsradio.net. Tonight marks the official return for the 2009 season as JL and myself will be bring back the weekly show. We have been on hiatus since the ending of last season.
The show starts at 8PM Eastern time and tonight I will give you a special peek at a “Fox Sports” mock draft that will be coming to Fox Sports online in the coming week. Shhh…don’t tell. In addition we will talk about the Jason Taylor rumors…again. John Becks future [...]

Perhaps this is a tip of the hand. Perhaps it’s nothing more than an insider’s speculation. Perhaps, perhaps…Perrrrhaps.
(scroll down for todays mock poll)
According to John Clayton, who I trust more than anyone else at ESPN, the Miami Dolphins are willing to trade John Beck for a song. O.k. anything. The Phins want more draft picks come April 25th and 26th and Clayton says that all a team has to do is simply make an offer. Is that the dance?
So why all of a sudden has the former 2nd round pick become so expendable? Surely he has learned something being [...]

Well, we had our first controversy yesterday with the Cincinnati Bengals and the lack of an Andre’ Smith option. Still, I think the Bengals have had enough problems with character issues so I don’t think Smith will be taken by the Bengals come April…which of course means they will. Michael Crabtree was awarded to the Bengals as the 6th overall pick and today we move on to another tough to call team. The Oakland Raiders.
I am going to try and start putting some needs up as well so you have an idea of what the teams may be looking at [...]

LIKE THE MIAMI DOLPHINS CHEERLEADERS! The Dolphins officially announced today that they will be holding open tryouts for the 2009 season cheerleader squad. The auditions unfortunately are not open to the public…that’s a shame. The auditions will be on Saturday, April 4th at Dolphins Stadium.
To qualify you must…BE A FEMALE…be charismatic and love to dance. The Dolphins cheerleaders are one of the more recognizable units in the NFL often performing abroad and at various other functions including every Miami Dolphins home game.

While the regular season schedule is likely a few more weeks away, the Pre-season schedule was announced today. The Phins will face the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buc’s, and the New Orleans Saints in the regular season come September, they will also face all four teams in the pre-season as well.
The Dolphins will open their pre-season schedule at home against the Jaguars and stay home the following weekend when they face the visiting Panthers before traveling the final two weeks to Tampa and New Orleans.
The good news is that they will not have to travel far. Tampa is [...]

NOTE: Andre’ Smith was added by the request of many. Jeremy Maclin who has received only 4 votes was removed. You should be able to vote a 2nd time if you choose to select Smith over your first choice. I submitted a comment in the “comments” section as to why Smith was intentionally left off the poll.
Week 2 starts with team 6, the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals allowed T.J. Houshmandzadeh to leave for Seattle and still emply irked WR Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson. Could a WR be the call here? Or is DT the pick they make? You decide.
The first [...]

It’s a simple statement. “I would love to play for the Miami Dolphins”. The words were uttered by the 6th overall pick of the San Francisco 49ers TE, Vernon Davis. Davis was in Miami for the Sony Ericsson Open, a tennis championship. He and his brother Vontae Davis were guests of the Williams sisters, Serena and Venus. But cheer not, Vernon is not a free agent and is not on the trade market. Vontae however is a different story.
With the draft less than a month away, Vontae Davis could be a number 25 option for the Miami Dolphins. Vontae had [...]

For 11 years Miami Dolphins fans watched Jason Taylor sprint off the edge, spin and take down the QB. He had some up years like the one that netted him the NFL’s Defensie MVP of the Year award. And we loved him for it. There were years that were not so good. Single digit sack numbers and hardly a presence on the field. And we stood by him and loved him. Now, it seems that Jason Taylor wants to continue his career and the team on top of that list may in fact be the New England Patriots. That, is [...]

The first week of our “Mock Draft Poll” has finished and there were no surprises in your thoughts. Matt Stafford was the overall choice for the number 1 pick and was given to the Detroit Lions. The Rams followed on day 2 of the polling and took OT Jason Smith. Kansas City took Aaron Curry the LB and Seattle took OT Eugene Monroe. Cleveland rounded out the top 5 with Brian Orakpo another LB.
Next week the Bengals, Raiders, Jaguars, Packers, and 49′ers will have their players chosen for them. Here is the poll results from the first week.

The Cleveland Browns are up and the Seahawks took OT Eugene Monroe off the board. On Saturday, as there will be no poll, I will look at the first 5 picks of this polled mock draft. Today however, there is a poll. Your picking who you believe will be the Browns pick in next months draft.

So much is going on these days as the owners meetings wrapped and the NFL announced new rules and changes and even hint at a new CBA. The question is where to begin? I suppose if I am going to travel a bit around the league, I may as well start with the news floating out of the northeast.
It seems Jason Taylor has the New Enland Patriots as his top choice of landing spots and according to Bob Kraft, it’s there if he wants it. Speaking at the owners meetings, Kraft spoke highly of the veteran DE who looks to [...]

The Seattle Seahawks are up for you voting today with the Kansas City Chiefs landing LB Aaron Curry in our interactive mock draft yesterday. The Seahawks have a more than a few ways they can go and the players available at this spot could easily fill one of them.
For another kind of Poll check out the Fan-Sided Network’s “Worst Draft Pick” bracket and vote for the worst player ever drafted in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins representatives as voted on here are Jamar Fletcher and Eddie Moore.
