The Miami Dolphins got some good news today when wide-receiver Kenny Stills made his first practice debut in over two weeks. Stills has been nursing a calf injury that has kept him sidelined and doing rehab work with the trainers. It didn’t take long for the receiver to shake off the rust.

According to the Miami Herald, Stills caught several passes today including a deep pass from Ryan Tannehill as he gave the Dolphins the dimension they have been waiting for. Stills joined the Dolphins this off-season as part of the trade that sent Danell Ellerbe to the New Orleans Saints.

"He burned Brice McCain on a go route and caught a perfectly thrown ball from Ryan Tannehill. Stills finished practice with several receptions, showing little rust from his time off. – reported the Heralds Adam Beasley after practice."

The Dolphins are hoping that Stills can fill the void left by the Mike Wallace trade. Thus far he hasn’t contributed much due to the injury but it’s good to see he and Ryan Tannehill are already on the same page. Stills could provide the Dolphins with an electric receiver on the outside. He is fast and runs very good routes with good hands.

In other Dolphins news, receiver DeVante Parker was seen jogging for the first time since he had foot surgery earlier in the off-season. Parker is not expected to make a pre-season appearance this year but his recovery is said to be going well and the Dolphins are still hopeful that Parker will be available for the first game of the season against the Washington Redskins.

With the close of practice this morning, the Dolphins wrapped up the final practice that was open to the public. They will practice with the Carolina Panthers outside Charlotte later this week ahead of their 2nd pre-season game with the Panthers.
