Miami Dolphins Mock Draft Post Combine
Miami Dolphins Mock Draft Post Combine
Tis the season – mock drafts are flying around the forum and website community after the combine has started coming to an end. With all the measurements finalized for the perspective athletes lets see who could potentially fall to the Dolphins with their draft selection:
(Like the GM simulator, there is a NFL draft one as well. If you want to try your magic select the link and have fun fanspeak.com/ontheclock/_)
Round 1 – Dorial Green –Beckham – WR -Missouri
- My first two targets are off the board (S. Thompson and D. Shelton). As a GM that is feeling the pressure, I am going to take the best player available. Enter DGB – this kid reminds everyone of Megatron and this type of body structure and physic only comes around once in a generation. I make the bold move and select DGB.
More from Dolphins Draft
- 4 offensive tackles Miami Dolphins could draft at 51
- Miami Dolphins don’t need CB help but these 5 could be available at 51
- The Miami Dolphins should not take a running back in the draft
- Predicting five NFL draft night trades for the first round
- Looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft for the Miami Dolphins
Round 2- Denzel Perryman – LB – Miami
- I addressed a playmaker on the offense with my first round selection, with my second, I focus on injecting some youth to my aging defence. I look at my backyard a draft a day 1 starter that will come in and provide a playmaking LB that was lacking all of last season. Pairing Perryman with Jenkins allows me to have one of the best young LB core in the AFC.
Round 3 – Kevin White – CB – TCU
- I am going to address my cornerback need with my third round selection. I am debating either Eric Rowe or Kevin White – in the end I select White as I his press coverages aligns with what I have with Bret Grimes on the opposite side of the field. White also allows me to cover my losses in case Jimmy Wilson leaves via free agency. White can battle with Will Davis for potentially the nickel corner

Round 4 – Phillip Dorsett – WR – Miami
- I am doubling down on WR this year as I suspect that I am to going to releasing Hartline and Gibson. Adding Dorsett, I get the fastest player in the draft class and I add an additional element to take the opposing defence over the top. This also bodes well for fan appreciation was I once again select two players from our University program
Round 5 – Shaq Mason – Georgia Tech – G
- I wait until the 5th round to add to my offensive line. I look into zone blocking teams and see that Shaq is still available. His measurable are great and his second level blocking needs improvement, but I believe that can be coached.
Round 6 – Marcus Hardison – Arizona State – DT
- If Odrick leaves via free agency, I can plug and play and starter with my rotation. Similar to last year selection of Fede, I take a flyer on Hardison that I believe has the talent to play in the league in a few years.
Round 7 – Malcolm Brown – RB – Texas
- I am not sure why Brown is still available in the 7th I love his running style and allows me to replace Daniel Thomas right away with a more powerful runner.

When the dust settles, I believe I have drafted four players that can come in right away and start day 1. The other three selections allow me to build and teach my prospects to grow into potential starter and allows me to plug and play them and watch them mature. I have increased the buzz surrounding my team by selecting four potential playmaking players and two of them from my backyard. Everyone wants their draft players to provide highlight plays – I believe with this draft class I have fulfilled that request.
Let me know what you think or who you would select differently?
