2015 FanSided NFL Mock Draft
By Brian Miller
FanSided Network has completed it’s annual editors mock draft. The three day process has concluded and the mock went live this morning. As editor of the Miami Dolphins blog PhinPhanatic.com, this site to be more clear, I of course selected for the Dolphins.
You can view the entire draft here.

So with the first pick in the 2015 FanSided NFL Mock Draft the Miami Dolphins select offensive lineman La’el Collins, LSU.
To be clear there were no trades allowed in this draft as I would have attempted to trade down and gain more picks. Sitting where I was at the draft unfolded in a manner that I believe will shake out on Thursday night.
The typical top players went early with Jameis Winston going first and Marcus Mariota going 2nd to the Titans. Vic Beasley went 3rd to the Jaguars although I believe this would be Leonard Williams if he is on the board. At four the Raiders blogger took Williams instead of a wide-receiver. Washington at number five took Dante’ Fowler and the Jets took WR Amari Cooper at six. Kevin White went to Chicago and LB Shane Ray went to the Falcons at eight, this before his arrest for possession.
At 10 the Giants went with Danny Shelton, and then the Rams took Brandon Scherff although I believe they will be more inclined to take Andrus Peat. The Vikings took Trae Waynes at 11 and the Browns took DeVante Parker two spots ahead of Miami.
I submitted two picks for number 14. Alvin “Bud” Dupree and La’el Collins. The Saints blogger took Dupree leaving me with Collins.
The Dolphins could do far worse than drafting Collins who could solidify the offensive line. Collins is NFL ready with good footwork and speed for his size. He uses hands well and his initial punch keeps defenders in front of him allowing him to maintain good balance and drive in run blocking and stability in pass protection.
Collins is a solid athlete but 14 may be a little too high. Even if Collins was on the board I would have traded down if offers presented itself.
