Miami Dolphins fantasy report – Week 1 Recap
Week one was expected to be a tough week for the Miami Dolphins. Fantasy owners of Dolphins players weren’t expecting much either and they weren’t disappointed.
Heading into week one, most Miami Dolphins players were not likely going to be starters. Jarvis Landry was an obvious choice.

Not all fantasy leagues are the same. Some give more point values to quarterbacks who throw touchdowns while some give less. Of course there are also PPR (points per reception) leagues. The stats below are for standard format leagues.
Ryan Tannehill
Stats: 186 passing yards, 17 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD = 15.14 pts
Facing the “legion of boom”, Tannehill was shutdown for most of the day. Kenny Stills’ drop of a wide-open 71 yard TD pass greatly hurt owners who started Tannehill. However, the 4th quarter was kind to fantasy owners as he scored a 2-yd rushing TD with 4:12 left.
Arian Foster
Stats: 38 rushing yards, 62 receiving yards, 0 TDs = 10.00 pts
Foster was unable to find many running lanes in week one. Miami tried to get him into open space as a receiver where he was targeted five times, catching three. If not for a 50-yd screen pass where Foster showed some great YAC, his production would have been alot worse.
Jarvis Landry
Stats: 7 receptions, 59 receiving yards 0 TDs = 5.90 pts
Unless you started Landry in a PPR league, you got very little from him in week one. His 10 targets was a team high but had little room to run against Seattle’s zone defense.
Kenny Stills
Stats: 1 reception, 16 receiving yards, 0 TDs = 1.60 pts
Of all the Dolphins players that fantasy owners may have started, Kenny Stills has to be the one player that had them ripping their hair out. His drop of a wide-open 71-yd TD reception killed any chance he had of making an impact.
Jordan Cameron
Stats: 2 receptions, 6 receiving yards, 0 TDs = 0.60 pts
If you started Cameron you weren’t paying attention to his poor showing in the preseason….or the entire 2015 season. Whether it’s due to disinterest, incompatibility or erosion of skills Cameron isn’t being targeted and is dropping the few passes thrown his way.
Other Dolphins to score points
Damien Williams (3.80 pts)
Leonte Caroo (1.40 pts)
