Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain

Could you really put one in without the other? Madison spent 9 years with the Dolphins and Surtain spent 7 of his NFL seasons in Miami. The trade of Surtain was not something that he wanted and it stung for a while after he left.

Madison posted 38 interceptions and two TD’s in his nine seasons to go with his 357 combined tackles. In his 7 seasons, Surtain posted 29 interceptions with two touchdowns and 341 combined tackles. Statistically speaking the two paralleled eachother perfectly.

It would be very difficult to put one on the Honor Roll and not the other. Together, much like Mark Duper and Mark Clayton on offense, they formed one of the best shutdown corner tandems in NFL history and they should be recognized together.
