Is Tua Tagovailoa going to be the long term answer for the Miami Dolphins?

You know the story by now: the highly-touted quarterback comes in to the league and is immediately set up for failure by his coaching staff, chastised by the media, and finds himself running for his life behind putrid offensive line play.

But the new coach and offensive schemes that will be in place for 2022 will be set up with Tua Tagovailoa in mind, and it is officially his time to take the next step towards being a legit starting quarterback in the NFL.

While confidence has been instilled in the guy that the team hopes to be the franchise QB, the front office looks as though they have a back-up plan should things not work out. The Dolphins have traded away most of their capital for the upcoming draft, and have instead been loading up for the 2023 iteration.

Miami currently holds two first round picks in next year’s draft, which promises to be rich in quarterback talent. Should Tagovailoa fail to bring the team to the playoffs, the team may be looking to move on after just three seasons. They certainly have the assets to make such a move a possibility.

Depending on what side of the “Tua Fence” you are on, you may or may not believe that he is the man for the job of the franchise QB. But all fans can come to the conclusion that Tagovailoa being a near-elite quarterback is the best case scenario.
