Round 3, Pick 102: Cam Jurgens, C, Nebraska

I really wish this pick was former Georgia running back James Cook, but I think Cook is no longer a draft secret and will go before Miami picks at 102.

If Cook is there at 102, Miami should run the draft card up and select him. However, in this scenario, Cook is gone, and Miami gets an excellent consultation prize.

Former Nebraska center Cam Jurgens could step in on Day 1 and start at center for Miami. I am a fan of Michael Deiter, and I know a lot of fans like him too, but you can’t count on him.

Deiter could make or break the Dolphins’ season, which is why drafting Jurgens makes the most sense.

Jurgens has 10+ year NFL veteran center written all over him, and he would be a perfect fit in Miami’s offense.

The Dolphins may have to wait to pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but luckily the wait is worth it as they get the starting center they so desperately need.
