ATW: Very Superstitious
This weeks ATW question asks you…”what is your superstitious Miami Dolphins game ‘watching’ routine?” Do you put your socks on differently? Refrain from wearing certain jerseys on win streaks? Are you refusing to change your underwear until Miami wins? O.k. we don’t need to know that one. Let us know what your superstitions are when it comes to Miami Dolphins football.
As always please Email me at Bmiller.Phan@gmail.com. Your answers will appear next week. Thanks to “IMAWriter” for the idea for this weeks question.
Training Facility Tour: Part 3
Well, it has been a little while since our last trip through the Miami Dolphins training facility. So long in fact that here is part 1 and part 2 to refresh your memory. So after you do a little catching up, here is part 3. The Photos that are posted along with this article are the property of Michael Brothers and ShedDawgs.com. Thank you to Michael for the great photos.
As you leave the main hall of positional team meeting rooms, you make a right that passes by the QB meeting room and into the locker room. Above you on the wall [...]
Q&A With A Jets Fan
Earlier this week I was Emailed by Brian Bassett of TheJetsBlog.com asking if I had any interest in a short Q&A about each others teams. I know, A Jets Blog? I too didn’t know they existed. But guess what? There is one. All kidding aside, Brian was very gracious in reaching out with that olive branch this week and although we both wished each other luck this weekend, we both knew neither of us meant it. Still, Brians’ a good guy and I encourage all of you to take a trip over and read [...]
Rebuilding the Dolphins: Needs
In our first two looks at the 5 part series Rebuilding the Miami Dolphins, we looked at the “make-up” of the team, as well as the “personnel” currently in place. In this, the 3rd part of the series, we look at the needs.
Every year a teams needs change based on factors ranging from coaching philosophies, coaching changes, retirements, injuries, and of course previous years performance. It is the latter that is sometimes the most hard to understand and even harder to get right.
Take for example Dolphins offensive lineman Rex Hadnot. An underachieving lineman from day one in Miami. Most fans wanted [...]
News, News, and More News
There was a spattering of news today out of the training center for the Miami Dolphins. Most of which centers around the running back spot.
In the on again off again Ricky Williams saga, Samkon Gado, who was released on Monday to make room for Williams, was re-signed this morning. To make room for Gado, Ricky was placed on IR. So Gado is back, and Ricky is gone.
According to some reports with fantasy football implications, Jesse Chatmans’ neck injury is fine, and according to Cam Cameron should be o.k. for the Jets game. However, if he should not be able to [...]

Feature Updates
With this being the holiday season, updates have been few and far between. My apologies for not having updates on the features we have been running or on the news items as soon as they occur, or at the very least within a reasonable amount of time. However, this week should be semi-normal, so with that, I will try and get some of the features updated with the next installments on the Miami Dolphins features we have been doing. Thanks for your understanding…well, at least thanks for now Emailing me about it…:)
Rebuilding the Dolphins - The 3rd installment will be up tomorrow [...]
By now, all of you know that Ricky Williams is out for the season. As the news broke on Tuesday, I was out of the house with family in town. Sorry for the delay. The torn chest muscle will now further fuel the debate on whether or not the oft troubled RB should be given a chance to stay in Miami as a member of the Miami Dolphins, released, or traded for a sticker that says “No Mas“…about the level of his value right now.
Ricky made no mistake this time around in his shortened season, perhaps because he didn’t have [...]
Sean Taylor Passes
Washington Redskins All-pro safety Sean Taylor has passed away. Taylor was shot on Sunday in his home. Taylor, a resident of the Miami area was in critical condition much of Monday. Doctors were skeptical of his condition even after subtle signs of response.
Taylor died early this morning as a result of blood loss due to the gun shot wound. Police are still invstigating the incident.
Everyone here at Phinphanatic.com wish his family and the Washington Redskins our prayers and condolences.
Blame This Loss on Cameron
The Miami Dolphins had yet another chance to get their first win, and like so many times before in this season, they lost it in the end, the 6th game this season of a 3 point or less margin. Only this time, you can blame the loss on Cam Cameron.
I have been round and round with many fans, readers, forum members, and so on, about where the blame in each of the losses should go, I have defended Cameron at every turn while recognizing he has made mistakes, just not mistakes that cost us a win. Against Pittsburgh, he made [...]
Ricky The Star…ter!
Amazing that only a few months ago, Cam Cameron of the Miami Dolphins was avoiding not only media questions about Ricky Williams, but Ricky Williams as well. Now, after only his first week of NFL practice in 18 months, Ricky Williams will be the star…ummm, starter tonight against Pittsburgh.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Ricky is the choice tonight because frankly, no one else is really healthy.
Jesse Chatman is still hobbling on his ankle, which appears to have worsened over the week rather than improve, and Patrick Cobbs is surely not the guy you want to turn to [...]
Miamis' Finest
This week, Phinphanatic and “Nice Pick, Cowher“, the Steeler blog for the Fan-Sided network, decided to swap blogs today. I did a Miami Dolphins vs. Steeler preview and writer John Cihon submitted his. Here is his submission on the day of the Monday night game in the Steel City.
By John Cihon:
The Miami Dolphins have the obvious Pittsburgh connection with Joey Porter, but he’s not the only one. 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Jason Taylor is from Pittsburgh, and of course one can’t forget about Dan Marino. As I type this I sit in my house, less than half a [...]
D. Pope Update
Updating a report yesterday on Miami Dolphins LB Derrick Pope, he has been released from the hospital, the reason he was there is still unknown, and he may be available for the game on Monday night.
