Prior to the Dolphins Halloween showdown with the Bengals in primetime, Jonathan Martin walks out of the teams training facility. His departure exposes a bullying locker room and launches an investigation. Martin would not return to the Dolphins and the investigation would cost the jobs of Oline coach Jim Turner and left guard Richie Incognito. The findings would have sweeping changes across the NFL landscape

January 7th

Joe Philbin is reportedly forced to fire Mike Sherman

January 8th

After being asked to relinquish some control, and refusing, the Dolphins and GM Jeff Ireland “agree” to part ways

January 15th

Bill Lazor is named offensive coordinator after Philbin is reportedly forced to fire longtime mentor and OC Mike Sherman.

January 28th

After an exhausting GM search the Dolphins announce that former Tampa Bay management member Dennis Hickey will be the new GM

June 17th

The Dolphins gain approval from the Miami-Dade County Commissioners office to begin plans for stadium renovations

June 28th

The Dolphins begin work on Sun-Life renovations. The renovations will take three years and totally remake the stadium. The renovations will include a canopy over the stands and four new video boards in the four corners of the stadium.

December 28th

The Dolphins close out their season 8-8 missing the playoffs after losing three of their last five games. Ryan Tannehill becomes only the 2nd quarterback in franchise history to throw for 4,000 yards in a season. Dan Marino is obviously the other one.
