Terrell Buckley

Terrell Buckley played six seasons (1995-1999, 2003) with the Miami Dolphins and is one of the all-time franchise leaders in interceptions.

Buckley has 50 career interceptions with just about half of those accomplished during his time in Miami. Buckley’s 24 picks place him in a three-way tie for sixth in Dolphins history.

He completed the trifecta at corner in the late 90s with Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain. Buckley, having more experience at the time, got the start over Surtain. However, he was ultimately let go so Surtain could get more playing time.

Buckley’s 164 interception return yards in 1996 led the NFL in the category, and he is the only player in NFL history with 50 or more picks to never earn a spot at the Pro Bowl.

J.B. Brown

J.B. Brown played eight seasons with the Miami Dolphins and in the process played in the fifth most games by a defensive back in team history after being selected in the 12th round of the 1989 NFL Draft.

More from Dolphins All-Time Lists

Brown was an iron man for the most part. From 1990 to 1994, he only missed five games.

His highest totals came in 1993 when he churned out five interceptions and 72 tackles. But his best return numbers came in the prior season when he ran for 119 yards on four interceptions.

Back in the days when the Dolphins won multiple playoff games, Brown was a pivotal cog on those teams. He recorded 377 tackles and 16 interceptions while playing in 122 games – starting in 88 – for Miami. A total that makes Brown the fifth longest tenured defensive back in team history.
