The Miami Dolphins have a rookie who is starting to impress some people. He is big, mean, and not named Jake Long. He is Donald Thomas and the 6th round rookie offensive lineman has been practicing at the starting RG spot for the last 4 practices.
While on the surface that might look to mean something, but a cautionary warning, Trey Darilek spent the first 3 practices at RG. It appears the Dolphins may be rotating the position to find the right fit.
While it is too early to tell how he will work out or if he will even make the team, his defensive counterparts [...]

Rookie Is Impressing
Jet Landing Is A Fav'r To Pack
The Miami Dolphins secondary better get ready, the toss it up for grabs Brett Favre is closing in on a landing zone. The GB Gazette is reporting that the plane arriving with Brett Favre has been cancelled and that Brett and his agent Bus Cook appear to be headed to the NY area, figuratively speaking. The Gazette says that the Packers and CropDusters are in “serious” negotiations.
The arrival of Favre in NY, should that happen would be a blessing for the Green Bay Packers who are embroiled in a serious PR issue with the ageless one. While the rumor flies [...]

UPDATE NUMBER 4
Quincy Carter is trying out today and Terry Glenn could be on the field if the Miami Dolphins have indeed signed him. You know the routine, look for the update and let’s see what is going on.
It’s true. It is really true. Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said today that Quincy Carter is indeed visiting the team today for a workout. Has it really come to this? While he stressed it is only a workout…“Look-see”, the fact that he is even being mentioned is a sad state of reality when you look at the Dolphins QB situation.
I realize that Chad Henne is not ready for the NFL, but damn, shouldn’t the reigns just be handed to him instead of the remote consideration for Cocaine Quincy?
Sorry, Bill, Jeff, and Tony, but if you guys are seriously [...]
Check out this great video of Ronnie Brown’s road to recovery. This is how he rehabbed. Thanks to an annonymous Email for tipping me off to the video that somehow escaped me.
"She" Is here!
BREAKING NEWS:
A source in Miami has informed that Terry “She will be fine” Glenn is a Miami Dolphin…provided he passes his physical. Glenn is likely to be on the field for this afternoons practice if the physical is passed. Expect an official announcment either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. No idea who will be released to make room for him. The names Kircus or Camarillo come to mind.
More on this as I get the info.
Phins Make A Signing
O.k. this is not new news, it is the guy that the Miami Dolphins replaced Scorpio Babers with. His name is Chris Roberson. Roberson has been in the league since 2005 and played 6 games in the Jaguars secondary in year 1. He has been fighting shoulder injuries the last two years.
Terry Glenn is looking more and more like a foregone conclusion. He will have to pass a physical, but it is more a matter of when now than if…or so it seems…as we know things always change.
Now This Is Just Too Much
Maybe they Miami Dolphins brass are trying to light a fire under the asses of John Beck, Chad Henne, and Josh McCown, or maybe this new Cowboy love thing is starting to sink into these guys as being the only way to ressurect this team. Now, it appears to be going to far.
According to Michael Irvin, on his radio show today, the Dolphins will be entertaining a QB on Friday for a try out. Former Cowboy and drug program attendee Quincy Carter. Carter has not played in the NFL since 2004. Maybe this is a favor to the guy who [...]

Training Camp Day 5
FINAL MORNING UPDATE
(Scorpio Babers released)
Good morning all. As I am sure you can tell, I up and busy once again surfing the net so you don’t have to in an effort to find what is going on out there. The Miami Dolphins have started their 5th day of training camp, a morning practice obviously. Ben Volin is back in the driver seat once again from the PBP with his running shoes on I am assuming. Same routine today folks, watch for “Update” at the top and continue reading.
Also, if you were unable to listen the radio show last night, we [...]
According to the Ft. Worth Star Telegram, Terry “She” Glenn is on his way to Miami to reunite with all his other Dallas Cowboy teammates. Glenn who is 34 years old, was released this past Friday. Speculation grew that the Phins would immediately be interested. It has apparently taken a few days.
Glenn would be a much needed veteran addition to the WR corp even if only in a backup role. His 1.74 million dollar contract with the Cowboys was too much for Jerry Jones to risk. Asking Glenn to sign an injury waiver claim, Glenn refused which led to his [...]

Sparano Talks
The Miami Dolphins released a transcript of the Tony Sparano press conference following today practice. By the way, I know it’s a pain in the rear to have to read the rest of something on a separate page, but with all the news lately, the front page wouldn’t hold it all. Sorry for the inconvenience.

UPDATE NUMBER 2
Edgar Thompson is filling in for Ben Volin at the PBP. Here are his thoughts…same routine as yesterday…watch for the Update.
